My Friends, Politics & Facebook

India is a diverse country. From Culture to Climate, India embraces diversity passionately.
And that exactly is the case with Indian political arena. From last couple of months people have shown immense interest in establishing their political views on different platforms and especially in social sites like Facebook. I go through different views posted on my FB wall everyday and this is why I thought to classify all my FB friends in different groups based on my limited understanding of their post on politics.

According to me, I have eight types of friends w.r.t  politics:

1. AAP Lovers

They are the most optimistic people around me. Moreover their mind is not at all corrupt when it comes to politics. They are the blind supporters of AAP from heart & soul. They can’t imagine a ‘dog eat dog’ world where any evil is possible. They seek & see hope and hope alone. They can’t imagine and tolerate anything against AAP in their wildest dream.
A lot of people from other groups support AAP in Delhi and want to scrutinize them on their ability before handing over the Nation to them. While "AAP lovers" are very confident that AK and his team are quite ready for the Nation and all the National Issues.Congress & BJP are thieves for them (equally) and they believe that AK will push them behind the bars as soon as they find some solid proofs.
Having said that, their pure & tender  hearts are very much vulnerable of breaking if something goes wrong with their beliefs.
I really hope that everything that the "AAP Lovers" believe come true. After all, they say "World is sustaining on hope".

2. BJP Lovers

As you already know, they are the die hard fans of BJP & NAMO. They are very loud & Clear. Just like AAP, they also can't tolerate anything against their party and also believe that BJP is the "one & only" solution for a developed India.
They have a very strong opinion against Congress & AAP. They smell conspiracy in every activity of the duo and especially after the AAP & Congress alliance in Delhi.

3.Congress Lovers

Unlike AAP & BJP lovers, they are not very active on FB. I guess, they are my mutest friends. However, outside FB I know few "Congress Lovers" who are the most loyal fans I can ever find. They are my Grandma's friends who took part in the "fight for Independence". They have also met "Gandhi Ji".
You might think, you have heard so many of "Congress Lovers" in the past on FB. I think you have confused them with "BJP Haters". There is a thin line between them which is getting widen up. We'll talk about them later.

4.Apathetic

As the name says, they are least bothered for Politics.
However, they have overheard about AAP being an altruistic and ascetic party.
If asked, they may bluntly refuse to have a political view or possibly  may  go with the AAP party for all they have heard from others.

5. Politics Hater

"Haters" are those who hate politics & political discussion. Most haters get annoyed to see the political views flooded on their walls.
They might have already unfriended a few who throws these political dirt on their wall very often.
I think “Lovers” are to be kind with them and give them space to discuss other important subjects as well.

6.Congress Haters

They hate Congress. They would love to see any party in power but Congress. They were also mild "AAP Lovers" till AAP joined hands with Congress to form the Govt in Delhi. They became critical about "AAP" when AAP declared to contest for the Lok Sabha. They were hoping that Congress will be wiped out in this election. They believe that AAP came as a savior for Congress and the history may repeat itself in Loksabha elections. They fear that if AAP & Congress join hands, Congress may again come to power in a way. They would have wanted AAP to prove themselves in Delhi first & then gradually become a National party. However, they want to trust that AAP is not a B-Team of Congress and hope that AAP will stand to their promises.

7.BJP Haters

They hate BJP. They would love to see any party in power but BJP. They were apathetic towards AAP till AAP joined hands with Congress to form the Govt in Delhi. Winning this battle against BJP gave them hope when there was little. They became mild "AAP Lovers" once AAP has declared to contest for the Lok Sabha. They were fearing that BJP will come to power this time. They also believe that AAP came as a savior for anti BJP parties and the history may repeat itself in Loksabha elections. They are hoping that  AAP & Congress will join hands and will defeat BJP. However, they will also be happy to see AAP in power with absolute majority.

8.AAP Haters

Strangely there are none. You may see critical comments from "Congress Haters" & "BJP Lovers" after the AAP-Congress alliance in Delhi and based on negative speculations on AAP. But, they are not "AAP Haters" . It is too early for AAP to be hated by any of my friends. Once "AAP" starts working on their promises they may gain more popularity or may end up forming a "Hater" group for themselves.

Disclaimer: Friends, I tried not to reflect my personal inclination to a particular group. If something that I wrote hurts your sentiments, I apologize for that. This is just my observation based on the status & comments on politics that you post on my Facebook wall. No one should derive any conclusion out of it.
